SoCal – Garden of Eden recap

Week before the pinnacle of it all – EDC LV 2017

Partiers eased off as they were making their Vegas plans. On the other hand, Motive Events said “…the hell with it…” and threw one hell of a party just a week prior at this new location in Huntington Beach, CA – The Circle OC.

The Garden of Eden was a good way to get the blood pumping for EDC week. The Circle opened up a few months prior with a very industrial yet modern atmosphere for a night club. The venue was really nice with bar areas on every level with a chill outside patio. The main room has a two tier layout with one being a more exclusive VIP area. And as a fan of bottle service, I love when the tables are not on the dance floor allowing for space and intimacy.

The sound traveled well and the main room was rocking to the beats of Mr. Brooks, Khromata, The Noble Six, Nifra and Indecent Noise. A second room took on an underground vibe filled with some of the best in local psy-trance and up and comers. The room was never dull as Snowden, Barakuda, Transcendent, Triceradrops, and Casey Rasch had the place lit. The DJs brought so much heat on the decks that people found themselves cooling off outside in the patio. I always tried catching at least part of every single set because there was not a single DJ undeserving of attention.

As all good things must come to a halt, my only complaint is that it was just not long enough as most club venue shut down at 2AM. The night was amazing and spending it with my LA Trance Family made it even better as I hope to see more Motive Events or trance acts be booked at this venue in the near future.
