Ho…Ho….Ho…!!! Have you been naughty or nice

The 7th annual Jingle Your Bells holiday party is an event all Sacramentans waited for all year long. Hosted by National Entity and Stilldream Festival, it gets bigger and better each year. Decked out in red, green, Santa’s hats, reindeer antlers and the unforgotten ugly Christmas sweaters, Jingle Your Bells is a Winter wonderland of bass and rave booties. Just a week before Christmas, this event has a unique vibe because people are pumped, out of school and ready to blow off some steam for the holiday season. It’s a great time of year to celebrate and party.

Being my third year attending Jingle Your Bells, I’ve seen the production get better each year. There was the main stage with an LED wall, lights & lasers complete with two Christmas trees on each side of the DJ deck and an outdoor silent disco stage. For those who went VIP got to hung out in an area right behind the stage with foods and drinks (no alcohol), where you could watch the artists closer up with ample room to dance. It was a pretty cool vibe which provided some breathing room away from the crowd.  Adding to the holiday spirit each year, a gift exchange also took place with a midnight unwrapping along a wrapping paper fight. And for those who wanted to remember the night, there was also a professional photo booth for some fun holiday photos with friends.

Headlining this year were Ricky Remedy, Terravita, and Elephante providing a mixture of electronic bass, house and trap music. Along with local artists DJ Bfunky opening the night, Deimox, Oshiin, Old gRiFF, Lucid Absynth and k².  The infamous mannequin challenge also took place during Deimox’s high energy set. We also got a surprised back to back set with Atom O.N.E, G.A.M.M.A, and Nick Nyquil making them the Three Amigos. Elephante was my personal favorite of the night who brought an electro, progressive and dutch sound. I loved his energy and he was so connected to the music while letting himself be completely free in the moment. Terravita ended off the night with some heavier bass music keeping the crowd going hard and wanting more. And they actually kept going with the lights on for an ‘encore’. The show was overall full of intense energy, holiday spirit, a few surprises and good vibes.

Jingle Your Bells was an amazing show leaving you satisfied; a night to add to the books. Celebrating the holiday with a bang, hard to some bass, loose on the dance floor but most importantly, it is the good vibes of all the happy people celebrating life around you.
