As we gather as one under the electric sky in the desert heat of EDC 2017

As I watched the sun rise above the speedway witnessing one of Aly & Fila greatest set, it was a fantastic way to retire EDC 2016 with lifelong memories.  The plan was to take a break, up until Pasqualle decided to unleash the mother of all news for 2017 – a 3-day Dreamstate stage all to itself.  Just epic! Indecisive, I spent months contemplating until the FOMO took over and gave in. There was no way I was going to miss out on the 21st anniversary.

Returning to the Las Vegas Speedway, June 16th – 18th, 2017, thousands of ‘headliners’ will descend on Sin City to one hell of a weekend – Electric Daisy Carnival 2017. Kicking off EDC week comes June 12th, there will be plenty of pre-celebration by hanging out at your favorite poolside or styling up at your favorite nightclub hosting some of your favorite DJs. As I’m planning on taking advantage of an early start, June 15th, I will be hosting a grand cabana for Dreamstate at Marquee Pool party and a VIP table for Dreamstate at Tao night club for the second year. I cannot wait to soak up in the desert heat and party with my chosen family.

I look forward every year to be reunited with my friends I have met at previous events like Bonnie from Michigan, Sandra and her husband Sebastian from Columbia, or Mariusz Roj from London who will be attending his first EDC LV.  I cannot wait to dance under the electric sky with them and all my friends.  EDC LV is one of the few events you can literally see the sun set and the sun rise the same night. To literally dance till the sun rises is a beautiful feeling and I strongly encourage everyone to do it at least one night.  The punishing desert heat is no joke, so staying hydrated and attempting to get some rest is strongly encouraged.  Three days is a lot for anybody.  By day three, exhaustion and body aches want to take over but the power of love and music gives everyone a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th wind to keep going. I plan on watching all three sunrises again.

With the line up release, I had to mark down my ‘want to see’ and ‘cannot miss’ where obviously I will be spending a lot of time at the Dreamstate stage, but EDC is about embracing all music; I love this event because it is honestly the only time I will see some of these artists like Gunz for Hire, one of my favorite hard style acts, and Pan-Pot an amazing techno duo.  Also rocking to some of my all time favorites like Porter Robinson, Laidback Luke, Axwell & Ingrosso, and Tommy Trash.

But I will be spending a majority of my time at the brand new Quantumvalley for the three magnificent nights of trance for a journey with my ‘Bae’ John O’Callaghan, Markus, PVD, Aly & Fila, Freedom Fighters, Sean Tyas, Pure NRG, Infected Mushrooms, Waio and performing for the very first time on the EDC stage, Niko Zografos.  I can plan this all night long and have a master plan of where to go and be, but reality is I will throw it all out the window the minute I see that beautiful view from the top of the grand stands.  EDC is all about embracing the moment after all.

For 3 days, 300,000+ people from around the world will experience the beauty of EDC 2017 under the electric sky.   Everyone in attendance will be welcomed with open arms and regardless of your political beliefs, social status or income level, we are one.  EDC is so much more than a festival.  It is a fantasy turned reality which I cannot wait.
