Good Continues to Prevail: Griz Spotlight

“The most difficult thing about keeping secrets that no one knows, is that they drive you crazy and make you think, feel, and do crazy, sometimes harmful, shit. I kept girls around me to ward off suspicion and partook in the heterosexual overly excited teen drama. I had a few girlfriends, took girls to dances, lost my virginity yada yada yada…But that only created more stress. I hated the fact that I was gay. I resented myself for it. I would barter to the higher power to make me straight.” – Huffington Post

The good times seem to keep rolling for the one …

… and only Griz, née Grant Kwiecinski. With his fifth studio album, “Good Will Prevail”, topping the Billboard charts at No. 2, the Detroit native is clearly soaring to new musical heights. The Detroit producer also made news in June with the decision to come out in an inspired and touching op-ed piece published by The Huffington Post.

He stepped on to the scene with a uniquely funky mix of dubstep & jazz that has helped bring the groove back to the main stage in dance music and garnered him a dedicated and affectionate fan base, who in light of his recent announcement have embraced him even more. As Griz continues to be a living example of openness and acceptance for his fans, he is truly living the mantra he himself popularized, “Show Love, Spread Love”.

He’s got a two-day sold out Red Rocks show in September as part of his Summer/Fall tour as well proving the immense impact of his music. It’s been nearly a year since “Good Will Prevail” was released and fans will be excited to hear the official remix album that was just released on his own All Good Records imprint. It features remixes from Tommy Trash, Tisoki, AC Slater, Ephwurd & more.

Be sure to pick up a copy of the remix album and catch Griz in a town near you as he continues to tour this fall!
