Sacramento held it up for a Thursday night…!!!

Who would have thought all good parties happens only on a Friday, Saturday or even a Sunday?  Well the boys from National Entity sure did not seem so.  With over 10 years of production staging and event hosting, Thursday August 18th, 2016, these boys brought out some heat and rocked the night out with Crizzly, Willy Joy, DJ Atom ONE, Gamma, Oshin and some of Sacramento’s local favorites at the California Wedding Hall.

The evening presented 2 dancing areas and a VIP room which was well catered and worth the price of admission.  It offered an endless amount of free food and free drinks (no booze) until run outs.  So next time if you planned to attend a National Entity show, I would go for the VIP treatments.

As I entered the main room, Gamma was already on deck playing to some down and dirty grimy dubstep; warming up the crowd for the headliners—Crizzly and Willy Joy.  The production staging was on full displayed with 3 large staggered LED screens which occupied a majority of the whole back wall with minimal intelligent lighting. The one flaw about the venue is the low ceiling which limits the production creativity; however, National Entity did a really good job incorporating the space available.

The second area was an outdoor court-yard, if done properly, can be set up for  about 500 people with a banging sound system and staging, but on that night, it was fenced off for a small crowd of no more than 100.  Everyone was definitely enjoying themselves and Cosmo Coyote had the dance floor pumping with some creative turntablism.  Being that

I’m older than 90 percent of the partier, a funny moment happened when a young girl stop on my course and proceeded to tell me that I look like a ‘father’.  What was she insinuating?  That I was too old to be here on a working night; either way I was not offended as she was having fun and so was I.

I only managed to stay for about half of Crizzly set and sporadically watch Willy Joy.  Both men had the house rocking.  Crizzly’s opening tracks selection definitely set the tempo and excitement which put the crowd into a frenzy.

Due to my short stay, I do not doubt that the event ended in good notes.  For those outside of the Sacramento area, National Entity events are worth checking out if you ever happen to be around the 916 area code.
