2020 was looking bleak on the festival schedule

My passport, suitcases and rave gear was put on a forced sabbatical it seemed. Festival after festival were cancelled and I was starting to accept the fate that I was becoming a homebody. Nonetheless, there were rumors of a festival on a beautiful island would be moving forward which I had planned on, but thought I would have to add that to another cancelled trip for 2020.

Awake Croatia 2020 was moving forward as planned. The 4-day trance festival, on the beautiful island of Pag, at the iconic Zrce Beach would be taking place Aug 20-23, 2020.

My traveling buddy, Sharissa and I did not want to get our hopes up, we had already canceled 3 trips in 2020, but researched on how we could still attend as we did not want to cancel another trip. After speaking with event organizers, representatives in Croatia and US Embassy, our airlines and hotels accommodation, the decision was made that we were going.

The event is taking all the safety precautions possible and following the guidelines from Croatian Government and the Health Authority. Limiting the total capacity to only 1,000 attendants, the festival is a result of Croatia being one of the safest countries when it comes to dealing with the global pandemic.

The 4 day line up boost some of the biggest names in trance and I cannot wait to see them. Aly & Fila, Paul Van Dyk, Kai Tracid, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Sander Van Doorn aka Purple Haze and so many more, making this the ‘trance and progressive experience of the Summer’.

With pool parties, boat parties, and an open air venue that can hold thousands, those in attendance will have some exclusive, breathtaking, and memorable memories to behold for years to come.

So stamp my passport, I will be heading out to Croatia!
